Rock Band coming to Wii?

Is Rock Band coming to Wii? I sure hope so. I love guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock. According to http://www.joystiq.com/ it is: http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/31/ea-fesses-up-rock-band-coming-to-wii/ . Here's what it says: According to IGN, EA CEO John Riccitiello confirmed the "coming launch" of Rock Band for Wii in a rather roundabout way. The confirmation came during a conference call to discuss EA's quarterly earnings when Riccitiello referred to the "coming launch" of the Wii version. Just in case that wasn't clear enough, IGN did get confirmation from EA that the rock star simulator would indeed be making a Wii debut. There was no release date given for the launch -- or information on instruments, price, or DLC – but hey, at least now we finally know it's coming. Another article is on http://www.ign.com/ . http://wii.ign.com/articles/777/777553p1.html . Here's what it says: April 2, 2007 - During a conference call to announce its latest music game Rock Band for release on Xbox 360 and PS3, Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos hinted strongly that a Wii-specific version of the title would be coming out in the future. When asked if there was any chance Rock Band would arrive on Wii, Rigopulos said without hesitation, "Absolutely.""We will, at some time, bring Rock Band to every [important] platform," Rigopulos said. He added that Harmonix would optimize future versions of Rock Band to fit the strengths of the platform. "I think the Wiimote is something that holds enormous promise."Rock Band comes to Xbox 360 and PS3 this holiday. No Wii version has been officially announced. On one more site: http://www.gamespot.com/ it has an article. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6185448.html?tag=result;title;0 . Here's what the article says: Last February, an Activision conference call revealed the existence of the Wii edition of Guitar Hero. Though unsurprising, the announcement was welcomed by owners of the still-scarce console looking to embrace their inner Yngwie Malmsteen. Despite a very public disc recall, it was also immensely profitable. The Wii edition of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock sold over 1.2 million units and generated $110 million in the US alone through December 31, 2007.
Today, a post-earnings-report conference call held by Electronic Arts revealed the existence of a Wii version of Rock Band, developed by Guitar Hero creators Harmonix. Though Rock Band is officially published by MTV Games, EA distributes the game via its EA Partners program, and will apparently do the same with the Wii edition.
"One of the things I'm very proud of is the partnership between Electronic Arts and MTV," said EA CEO John Riccitiello to analysts. "In terms of pacing the next few quarters, you're probably well aware of the more than $2.5 million music downloads that have occurred on Rock Band. What's probably the most interesting pieces right now is the coming launch on the Wii, the continued sale of the core platforms in North America, and then the fiscal '09 launch across Europe against all of the SKU. So, frankly for the balance of our Q4 and the first half of fiscal '09, Rock Band is a key focus." (Emphasis added.)
Riccitiello's comments confirm the existence of the Wii Rock Band and the fact that it will be released in the 12 months after April 1, when EA's 2009 financial year begins. Unfortunately, no other information was made available about the game, and inquiries sent to EA and Harmonix representatives were unanswered as of press time.

So is Rock Band coming to Wii? It's your opinion. My opinion is that it is.(hopefully)
